The Italian Lega A1 Women is the top-tier professional women’s volleyball league in Italy. The league was established in 1946 and has since become one of the most prestigious and competitive women’s volleyball leagues in the world.
The league is governed by the Italian Volleyball Federation (FIPAV) and consists of 12 teams that compete in a regular season from October to April, followed by a playoff and a final series to determine the league champion.
